The Faculty of Health Sciences conducts classes using the newly launched Education and Medical Simulation Centre where nursing and midwifery students can be educated.
The simulation rooms are equipped with the latest patient phantoms. Among other advanced simulators of a woman giving birth and a newborn baby, midwifery students have at their disposal, a simulator for gynecological examination and a maternity model for assessing heart rate and fetal positioning.
With a view to educating future nursing staff, in addition to the phantom of an adult patient there are also sets for practicing nursing skills, such as injections or anti-bedsore prophylaxis.
